Team driver since April 2025
My name is Adam Oaks, I am a 45-year-old husband and father of two, residing in Rogersville, Missouri.
My passion for RC began when I was about seven years old. Although I didn’t get the Tamiya Clod Buster I wanted as a child, I cherished the 1/10th scale TYCO race car I received for Christmas. Fast forward 15 years, I spent another 15 years competing in full-scale truck pulling before converting my Chevy square body back into a street vehicle.
In 2023, my son—who grew up at the track—expressed interest in building an RC pulling truck. Starting with one, we now have 30! The entire family participates in 1/10th scale RC competition truck and tractor pulling. It’s a wonderful way for us to all participate together, especially since high-level activities are often limited for my daughter, who has Down syndrome.
We have been very successful, having secured a National Championship in March, and World Championship in Montpelier, Ohio, Truck pulling, whether full-size or 1/10th scale, has truly been a lifestyle for most of my 23 years of marriage. I am excited and honored to be part of the RC4WD team!
