Just a guy playing with toy trucks, trying to make them look real. I’m a family man with a beautiful wife and daughter along with 2 golden retrievers. We enjoy the outdoors when our busy lives allow. I also enjoy working on classic cars with my dad.

When did you start RC?
I got into RC very young around 9 years old. It was a “Big Bubba” from Nikko bought at Montgomery Wards. After that it was Tamiya Blackfoot, then RC10 buggy etc….

What is your category (scale, comp, HM)?

I really enjoyed scale comp and did pretty well in it over the 2015-2019 period. Then, after Covid it all started changing from less scale to more comp style with more emphasis on performance and that got boring for me. So after the rules changed again and more scale attributes got eliminated I decided that it was no longer for me. So…WeROCK was always something that was on my mind for a new way to “compete” but on a really scale level. So, I and Ty Giebel decided to form a “new” genre of scale RC crawling competition WeRcRock. Its true scale buggy competition with weight requirements and scale requirements to compete. WeRcRock was made to bring back building and creative thinking to push people into working with their hands and truly building again. It’s probably one of the hottest segments in RC crawling at the moment.(Summer 2024) This was from the the help of Ty and team hosting WeRcRock Nationals 2024 in Colorado. Josh from Harley Designs and Matt from SBG built up tube rigs and competed in the event all while covering their progress for YouTube. Everyone had a blast, it was a very humbling experience watching everyone enjoy themselves.

Favorite Part about RC?
The escape it gives me from being an adult.

Do you remember your first RC?
Yep, the old Big Bubba from Monkey Wards lol

Favorite RC Memory?
Watching everyone enjoy WeRcRock and all the builds people are creating.

Favorite RC4WD platform (TF2, G2, CC)

The Trailfinder2 has always been my go to for all my “realistic” builds. You can’t beat the versatility and realistic character it has. I’ve chopped them and welded them back together, added Element IFS to one, and handful of other things that I’ve forgotten about lol. I wish the TF3 was still available though.

Favorite Hobby Shop to visit?

I would visit Triple Crown Hobbies in OKC. My good friend Ikaika owns and operates to notch facilities with great parts and knowledge for days.
